Hawkstone Hall and Gardens

Hawkstone Hall and Gardens is a luxury wedding and events venue located in the hamlet of Hodnet near to Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Built in the early 18th-century as a country mansion the Grade I listed building sits within 88 acres of landscaped gardens and parkland.

Crazy Golf Setup Location

The main lawn at the rear of the hall is perfect for either of our Wedding or the Wedding PLUS packages. Due to the Hawkstone Hall being built on a hillside, access to the lawn is restricted. The setup (and breakdown) of the course takes longer than other venues hence the additional venue setup fee to cover the additional time / additional staff required to carry the 1.5 tons of course from the front of the hall to the rear!

What if it Rains?

Due to the restricted access to the rear lawn, gazebos are not an option to cover the course. In the event of rain / forecasted rain the course will be set up indoors in the Saloon. The Saloon is the perfect location for setting up the 9 hole course, its central location means that it’s in easy access for guests to play on during both the drinks reception and that lull between when the wedding breakfast finishes and the evening’s entertainment begins.

Winter Weddings at Hawkstone Hall & Gardens

Winter weddings at Hawkstone Hall poses no problem as we can set up indoors in the Saloon. We set up the course before guests arrive for the ceremony and break it down once you and your guests have moved into the Refectory for the evening entertainment.
