Well Messrs Garrett & Butler (aka Crazy9) decided to enlist the help of Festival Events & Planning to have a same-sex (gay) wedding and what better entertainment to have at their equality marriage than their own wedding themed Mobile Crazy Golf!
Both having full time jobs meant that trying to organise their wedding day was proving to be quite stressful. Without further ado they decided to enlisted the expert help from Cheshire Wedding Planners, Lara & Rachel of Festival Events and Planning. They are the perfect team as both are extremely creative and have impeccable eyes for detail. Pete declared that “After our first meeting with Rachel & Lara our stress levels just disappeared”.
Both Grooms wanted to take full advantage of getting dressed up but didn’t want to look the same. Whitfield & Ward in Wilmslow, having lots of experience with LGBTQ+ wedding suit hire seemed the obvious choice and made sure their outfits complemented each other. The suits were finished off with hand-made Keepsake/Everlasting Wedding Buttonholes created by Silver Sixpence In Her Shoe
Photographs are an essential part of your wedding day as often you’re too preoccupied or too emotional to remember all the special moments. “Photographs are so important to us” said Philip, “We have more than 25,000 photographs spanning the last 50 something years of our lives. We both love documentary style wedding photography and were delighted that Lara & Rachel suggested using Gareth Roy Photography to capture the day from start to finish”.
Rachel also suggested that the boys enlisted the help of a makeup artist who has experience in ‘natural makeup’. It’s amazing how many wedding photographs you see where the bride looks perfect but the groom has a sheen or has bags under his eyes from the sleepless night before. Abby Victoria is a Professional Makeup Artist from Warrington in Cheshire who, amongst her many talents, specialises in makeup for photoshoots. The boys were slightly concerned at first as neither of them wear makeup but as you can tell from all the photographs, their complexion looks fresh and natural.
The ceremony and reception was held at the fabulous Delamere Manor arriving in style in a Chauffeur driven white Rolls-Royce hired from Red Carpet Cars based in Tarvin, Cheshire. Once again Rachel & Lara took care of everything and made sure the fridge was full and the wine cooler was stocked with the groom’s favourite fizz. Delamere Manor is a perfect Cheshire wedding venue, set in over 100 acres of rolling Cheshire countryside and boasts 6 luxury bedrooms sleeping the Groom & Groom and their 10 wedding guests.
